PHRASAL VERB
MEANING
EXAMPLE
turn on
to start a machine or device
Could you please turn the TV on?
turn off
to stop a machine or device from working/performing

turn up
to increase the volume

turn down
to lower the volume

turn into
to change into something different. To transform.

turn in
to submit something
All students are expected to turn in their homework on the due date.
